In a remarkable achievement for Assam and the Northeast, 16-year-old Huma Abia Kanta from Guwahati has made headlines by presenting her research at an international AI conference in Azerbaijan. The young prodigy, a student at Royal Global School, showcased her paper on machine-learning-based prediction of phycocyanin purity at the prestigious event held at Nakhchivan State University. Her innovative approach, which compares six regression models, achieved a mean absolute error significantly lower than the standard deviation used in labs.
Huma’s accomplishment marks her as one of the youngest Indians to present at such a global forum, with her work set to be published in esteemed international journals. Her academic journey continues with another paper accepted for an upcoming conference on natural language processing, reflecting her growing expertise in the field.
