Advisor.com has successfully raised $9 million in seed funding to enhance its AI-driven financial advisory platform. The funding round was led by Walkabout Ventures, with participation from Jim Brown, founder of Long Ridge Private Equity Partners. This financial boost is set to accelerate the company’s growth, focusing on improving its AI-powered advisor-matching technology and expanding its network of elite advisors. Targeting professionals with less than $500,000 in investable assets, the platform aims to fill gaps left by current market offerings. Advisor.com pairs investors with thoroughly vetted fiduciary advisors, considering factors such as regulatory history, assets under management, client ratios, and third-party reviews. Additionally, the company runs Advisor Wealth Management, a rapidly expanding RIA that combines AI with human expertise to provide comprehensive financial advice. The advisor network features prominent names like Creative Planning, Edelman Financial Engines, and Vanguard. The company’s founder, Hunter Stunzi, previously sold SnapCap to LendingTree in 2017.
