AI startup Zingage has successfully raised $12.5 million in seed funding to revolutionize healthcare by bringing it into the home. The company, founded two years ago, is developing an AI-driven scheduling and operations platform specifically designed for home healthcare agencies. These agencies provide in-home care, offering an alternative to hospitals or long-term care facilities. According to cofounder and CEO Victor Hunt, many patients miss out on care due to agencies being overwhelmed by offline logistics, while caregivers struggle to piece together enough hours for a living wage. Hunt envisions a future where all healthcare services, from basic personal care to advanced nursing and remote patient monitoring, are delivered at home. This approach aims to reduce hospitalizations, enhance care outcomes, extend lifespans, and support aging in place. The startup, based in New York City, was cofounded by Hunt and Daniel Tian, drawing on personal experiences with home healthcare needs. The seed funding round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with contributions from TQ Ventures, South Park Commons, and executives from Ramp. Zingage offers two main products: Zingage Perform, an engagement tool designed to boost caregiver retention, and Zingage Operator, an app that automates back-office tasks for home agencies. Currently, Zingage serves 400 agencies with approximately 50,000 caregivers and employs 14 staff members, predominantly engineers. The company is part of a broader trend, with other startups like Axle Health also leveraging AI to address home healthcare challenges.
