How Did Samsung Triumph at the International Design Excellence Awards 2025?

Samsung Electronics has reaffirmed its position as a leader in design innovation by securing 47 honors at the International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) 2025. The company garnered two Gold, three Silver, and three Bronze awards, with an additional 39 finalist recognitions across various categories. This year’s awards celebrated achievements in 20 categories, including home, consumer technology, and digital interaction, with a focus on design innovation, user benefits, and societal contributions.

Mauro Porcini, President and Chief Design Officer of Samsung’s Device eXperience Division, emphasized the company’s commitment to blending advanced technology with human empathy to enhance lives. Samsung’s design philosophy, which centers on creating adaptable products for diverse lifestyles and experiences, played a significant role in its success.

The two Gold Awards recognized Samsung’s Mobile Design Visual Identity System and the Samsung Inclusive Essentials. The former unifies the Galaxy Series under a consistent visual framework, while the latter enhances accessibility for visually impaired and elderly users through standardized shapes, colors, and integrated tactile, auditory, and visual cues.

Silver Awards were given for the Galaxy Tab S10 Series, the Samsung Smart Modular House, and the Digital Twin solution. These innovations highlight Samsung’s focus on AI-enhanced technology and smart living solutions. Bronze Awards honored the Galaxy S24 FE, Samsung Vision AI Onscreen Story, and the EHS Mono Outdoor Indoor System, showcasing advancements in photography, branding, and energy management.

Samsung also received numerous finalist recognitions, including for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, the Smart Monitor M9, and the Bespoke AI Laundry Hub. These accolades underscore Samsung’s dedication to human-centered design, accessibility, and innovation, shaping the future of how people live, work, and connect.
