Scalekit, a SaaS startup, has successfully secured $5.5 million in seed funding, with the round led by Together Fund and Z47, and contributions from angel investors like Adam Frankl, Oliver Jay, and Jagadeesh Kunda. The company, founded by Satya Devarakonda and former Freshworks engineers, specializes in providing modular infrastructure tailored for SaaS and AI-focused teams. Its offerings include MCP Auth for agentic servers, Agent Actions for secure API interactions, and advanced human authentication featuring enterprise capabilities such as SSO and SCIM. Unlike comprehensive solutions like Auth0, Scalekit’s flexible approach allows developers to select only the components they require.
The founding team has previously developed Freshworks’ authentication platform, now utilized by over 50,000 businesses and 2 million users. Their experience highlighted the challenges SaaS teams face in delivering secure, enterprise-ready authentication. Scalekit is now addressing the authentication and actions layer for AI-native applications. With innovations like the Model Context Protocol (MCP), applications are enabling direct interactions with agents, challenging traditional identity systems meant for humans. Scalekit is crafting the foundational authentication framework for this new agentic era.
The startup is already being utilized by companies such as Hubbl, Sifthub, Fello, Unstract, Tiphaus, and Aerchain, aiding teams in transitioning agentic workflows from prototype stages to full production.
