Structured AI, a U.S.-based construction technology startup, has successfully raised $4.2 million in a seed funding round. The company, which focuses on AI-powered software to automate quality assurance and control in construction projects, has now accumulated a total of $5 million in funding. FCVC led the investment round, joined by notable investors such as Y Combinator, 20VC, Cherry Ventures, Zero Prime Ventures, Transpose Platform, and Sequoia Scout. The newly acquired funds will be directed towards enhancing Structured AI’s optical recognition and computer vision models. These technologies are designed to help engineers efficiently identify and resolve quality issues in complex construction drawings and fieldwork. Founded by CEO Raymond Zhao, Structured AI aims to integrate its technology into design authoring software, offering automated engineering recommendations akin to a spell check, while ensuring human oversight for final decisions.
