Lao Feng Xiang has launched its first line of wearable devices at the International Exhibition of Senior Care, Rehabilitation Medicine and Healthcare in Shanghai. These high-tech glasses, developed with ByteDance’s AI model Doubao, are designed as a “smart assistant” for the elderly, offering features such as menu translation, medication instruction interpretation, and user interaction. The company’s chairman, Yang Yi, emphasized their commitment to investing in technology for the aging population, known as the silver economy. This move highlights the growing interest in smart eyewear, driven by AI advancements, to meet the needs of China’s aging demographic. Yang also mentioned plans to further enhance these products to reach a broader consumer base.
