SehaTech, an Egyptian insurtech company, has successfully closed a $1.1 million seed funding round, bringing its total funding to $2 million. This funding round was led by Ingressive Capital and included participation from Plus VC, strategic angel investors, and existing supporters like A15 and Beltone Venture Capital. The company aims to transform health insurance administration through its AI-driven platform, which automates workflows and reduces inefficiencies, fraud, and abuse. SehaTech addresses the low health insurance penetration in Egypt and the region by making healthcare more accessible and financially sustainable. Founder and CEO Mohamed Elshabrawy emphasized the company’s commitment to expanding access to quality health coverage. The new funding will be used to scale operations, enhance the platform with advanced AI capabilities, and expand SehaTech’s reach within Egypt and beyond.
