This year, the focus of Apple’s development appears to be on the rumored foldable “iPhone Ultra,” which could explain the lack of significant changes in the Pro lineup. Despite earlier predictions of increased thickness and weight, the iPhone 18 Pro Max may still become the heaviest model yet, potentially exceeding 240 grams. This could be due to internal hardware changes, including a larger battery with a capacity between 5,100 and 5,200 mAh, compared to the previous 5,088 mAh. Apple might have optimized the internal design to accommodate the bigger battery without altering the device’s thickness. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to retain the same 6.9-inch display size. Other anticipated features include a smaller Dynamic Island, a new C2 modem, simplified camera controls, and an improved main camera with variable aperture.
