Apple is planning significant camera upgrades for its future iPhone Pro models, with the first expected in the iPhone 18 Pro this September. Among the anticipated enhancements is a variable aperture, marking a departure from the fixed ƒ/1.78 aperture that has been standard for several generations. Additionally, a larger 1/1.12-inch main sensor, improved optical stabilization for the ultra-wide lens, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens are in the works. However, the latter is not expected until 2028. These advancements promise to elevate the photography capabilities of the upcoming iPhone models.
