A new leak offers a deeper look at StandBy mode on the iPhone Duo, revealing five StandBy faces that had not been reported before. Earlier previews showed iOS 27 running on the iPhone Duo and demonstrated a StandBy mode that activates even when the iPhone isn’t charging; Apple included the mode in press materials, and leaker pdfu today shared a more detailed look at additional options.

The leak identifies five previously unreported StandBy faces. Home Camera will show either a single camera feed or a grid of up to nine camera feeds. Home Modular is described as likely showing smart home controls. A Snoopy-themed face appears among the new options. Apple also seems to be adding a face called Flow that could include animations, and a face named Fade for which no additional details are available.
Faces already seen in Apple marketing materials include Analog, Digital, Classic Calendar, Weather, Photos, Memories, Shared Albums and Modular.
According to the leak thread, Rushmore—the app intended to host the redesigned faces—is missing from the iOS 27.1 simulator, but its localization strings reveal unreported faces, and pdfu reported running some new faces in the current renderer.
A face editor will let users adjust the StandBy interface by choosing different styles and colors, similar to existing iPhone StandBy customization screens. Swipe gestures are available for quick visual adjustments. For clock faces that support widgets, the leak lists five widget layouts: StandBy, Stacked, Top, Middle and Bottom.
The iPhone Duo will be available for pre-order on October 16 ahead of an October 23 launch, and more details may surface as the release date approaches.
