The Samsung Galaxy S26 is set to bring significant hardware upgrades in 2026, with a focus on camera improvements that have long been anticipated by fans. While new processors and enhanced displays are expected, the standout feature in the latest leaks is the upgrade to the 3x telephoto cameras across the S26 lineup. Samsung is reportedly replacing the small 10MP sensor with a larger 12MP sensor, promising better light capture and clearer zoomed images. The Ultra model may feature an even larger sensor, though this remains unconfirmed.
Additionally, the S26 Ultra is rumored to see a battery increase to 5,400mAh, enhancing its endurance without significantly increasing thickness. This model will continue to boast a 6.9-inch QHD M14 OLED screen and an upgraded 200MP main camera, alongside a 50MP 5x telephoto and a 50MP ultra-wide camera.
The S26+ and base S26 models will also feature QHD M14 OLED displays, with 50MP main and ultrawide sensors, marking a notable upgrade from their predecessors. Depending on the region, these devices will be powered by either the Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite chips. The Ultra variant might also feature the Exynos chip in some markets, despite initial performance concerns.
Finally, the “More Slim” Galaxy S26 project remains uncertain, but it is expected to offer a 6.6-inch QHD M14 OLED display, a 50MP camera setup, and an Exynos 2600 chip, with a 4,300mAh battery.
