Apple is preparing a new subdomain, genai.apple.com, ahead of its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), where the company plans to unveil advancements in artificial intelligence across its software platforms. Although the subdomain is not yet active, it suggests a focus on “generative AI,” a technology gaining prominence through tools like ChatGPT and Claude.
The upcoming software updates, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, are expected to feature enhanced Apple Intelligence capabilities. These updates may introduce a more personalized Siri, capable of engaging in conversational exchanges, akin to existing chatbots. Additionally, new accessibility features will include automatic video captions and improved Voice Control with natural language support, enabling intuitive commands in apps like Apple Maps and Files.
Apple Intelligence will also streamline the creation of shortcuts and introduce a “Create a Pass” feature in the Wallet app. Safari will gain the ability to name tab groups automatically, while Visual Intelligence will facilitate tasks like scanning nutrition labels and importing contact information from business cards. The WWDC 2026 keynote is scheduled for Monday, June 8, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
