Traditionally, Samsung has set itself apart from Apple with its dual launch schedule, hosting two major Galaxy Unpacked events each year—one between January and March, and another between July and September. However, Apple might soon challenge Samsung on this front by adopting a similar strategy. Reports suggest that Apple is planning to split its iPhone launches into two annual events. Starting in 2026, Apple is expected to reveal its Pro-labeled iPhones, such as the iPhone 18 Pro models, in the fall. This event might also see the debut of Apple’s first foldable iPhone. In the spring of 2027, Apple plans to launch the standard iPhone 18, along with potential updates to the iPhone 16e and the iPhone Air 2. By adopting a biannual launch schedule, Apple aims to maintain a year-round presence in the market, challenging Samsung’s long-held advantage of multiple high-profile launches. In 2025, Samsung continued its tradition with two major events, introducing the S25 and Z7 series, alongside other launches.
