Apple is set to unveil a new premium leather-alternative case for the iPhone 17 lineup, following the discontinuation of its previous FineWoven cases. This new fabric is designed to be more technical, with a rich, visible texture and improved resistance to scratches and daily wear. It features a rubbery, grippy feel, prioritizing practicality over luxury, though concerns about its long-term durability remain. The cases will be available in green, orange, blue, and purple, aligning with Apple’s environmental objectives. Additionally, there is speculation about “Liquid Glass”-style cases, potentially offering a new twist on Apple’s clear MagSafe case. The silicone cases for the iPhone 17 are also expected to include a lanyard loop.
