The conference is part of Cairo University’s AI strategy, launched in October 2024, which was the first of its kind in Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East. The strategy emphasizes the integration of education, innovation, research, and public awareness to meet the challenges of the digital era. The conference will feature panels, workshops, and roundtables focusing on AI ethics, governance, and practical applications across various sectors, with the goal of generating actionable insights for policymakers, business leaders, and researchers. In preparation for this event, the university has introduced its first responsible AI policy, launched a digital AI platform, and incorporated AI courses into its curricula, underscoring its commitment to becoming a regional leader in AI and its applications.
