Is Driive’s $800k pre-seed success a game changer for Lincoln startups?

Brothers Quinn and Nick Small, raised in Lincoln, have embarked on a business venture together, drawing on their shared history in startups and family business. Their company, Driive, is an AI-driven booking platform designed for contractors and home service providers. The platform enhances job scheduling by efficiently matching technicians with customer requests based on location and availability, even outside of office hours.

Recently, Driive secured nearly $800,000 in a pre-seed funding round, led by Invest Nebraska, with contributions from MOVE Venture Capital, Nelnet, Nebraska Angels, and CompanyCam CEO Luke Hansen. CompanyCam, Nebraska’s first unicorn company, shares a similar focus on the trades sector.

Quinn Small, who previously worked with the family business during the pandemic’s home remodeling surge, identified inefficiencies in customer service and job scheduling. Unable to find a suitable existing solution, he decided to create Driive. The company officially took shape in 2025, with Nick and Corey Collins joining full-time.

The Small brothers maintain ties with their family business, which became Driive’s first client, providing valuable feedback during the platform’s development. Nick’s experience at CompanyCam, where he served as vice president of marketing, highlighted the importance of industry-specific knowledge in tech startups.

Luke Hansen, who has a longstanding relationship with the Driive team, supports their venture, recognizing Quinn’s deep understanding of customer needs and problem-solving capabilities. Hansen’s involvement offers Driive crucial validation and mentorship.

With the newly acquired funds, Driive aims to enhance its customer-facing product and explore further software integrations. The Small brothers are now preparing to raise a seed round, confident in their ability to build a successful company in Nebraska, challenging the notion that significant tech ventures must be based in major tech hubs.
