Although the official reason given for the cancellation is unavoidable personal circumstances, there is speculation that the pause in the chip project may be a contributing factor. Altman was scheduled to meet with major South Korean companies, including Samsung Electronics, Kakao, and Naver, and attend an event at Samsung’s Digital City. Future plans for rescheduling the trip remain unclear. The chip project reportedly stalled due to strategic differences between the two companies.
