Samsung, known for unveiling its Galaxy S series high-end phones in January, is reportedly delaying the launch of the Galaxy S26 until March 2026. This shift is due to last-minute changes in the development phase, impacting the Galaxy S26 and S26+ models. The company initially planned to release the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, but decided to cancel the Galaxy S26 Edge following disappointing sales of its predecessor. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is ready, but the other models need more time, prompting the delay. The Galaxy S26 series will feature cutting-edge technology, with the Exynos 2600 chip in the base model, marking the debut of the world’s first 2nm mobile chip. The Galaxy S26+ may come with either the Exynos 2600 or a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, both offering 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Galaxy S26 is expected to feature a 6.2-inch screen and a 4,300mAh battery, while the Galaxy S26+ may have a 6.7-inch screen and a 4,900mAh battery. Camera setups for these models include a 50MP primary and ultrawide camera, a 12MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP selfie camera. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra boasts a 6.9-inch 10-bit OLED display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, a 200MP primary camera, and advanced telephoto capabilities.
