Is Samsung’s new SmartThings Home Hub with Matter available in the US?

Samsung has launched the latest Aeotec Smart Home Hub 2, now available for purchase in the United States for $119.99 through Samsung’s website. This new hub, an upgrade from its predecessor, offers significant enhancements including a 53% faster CPU, double the RAM at 512MB, and a more compact design. It supports Matter over Thread, SmartThings, and Zigbee, although it does not accommodate Z-Wave devices. Known for quickly adopting the latest Matter updates, Samsung leads among major smart home brands like Amazon, Apple, and Google. The hub is designed for both cloud-based and local operations, ensuring swift and reliable smart home commands. It also functions as a Thread Border Router, allowing seamless integration with existing Thread networks, adjustable via the SmartThings app. A wall-mount option provides users with flexible installation choices.
