SPARQ, based in Ras Al Khaimah’s Innovation City, has launched an $8.5 million seed funding round, with early backing from Andreessen Horowitz’s scout fund. This funding aims to expand access to game development tools globally. SPARQ’s AI-native platform simplifies game creation by managing coding, assets, networking, publishing, and monetization, while allowing creators to maintain control over game design. Developed over two years with a $2.5 million investment from its founders, SPARQ’s proprietary C++ engine offers AAA-grade rendering capabilities. The platform has already attracted a waitlist of 6,000 creators. SPARQ aims to address the lack of accessible tools for the estimated 250 million creators in the content economy, reducing development timelines and broadening game creation access. The company plans to open the SPARQ Creators Centre in Ras Al Khaimah, enhancing the UAE’s role in AI, gaming, and creative technology. Beta access is currently being rolled out in anticipation of a global launch.
