Is the Galaxy S25 FE slimmer, lighter, and more refined?

Samsung continues to uphold the Fan Edition tradition with the Galaxy S25 FE, combining high-end features with a more affordable price tag. Our initial hands-on experience reveals a device that impresses with its design and performance.

The S25 FE is notably lighter and sleeker, weighing 190g and measuring just 7.4mm in thickness. Its modern aesthetic is enhanced by slimmer bezels, while Armor Aluminum and Victus+ glass ensure durability. The 6.7-inch AMOLED display maintains a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and reaches a peak brightness of 1,900 nits for improved outdoor visibility.

In terms of photography, the phone retains the 50MP main sensor seen in recent Galaxy S models, accompanied by a 12MP ultrawide and an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom.

Performance-wise, the Exynos 2400 processor offers a boost over its predecessor, supported by a larger 4,900mAh battery and 45W fast charging capabilities. Samsung has also enhanced the cooling system with a larger vapor chamber to maintain consistent performance.

The S25 FE debuts with One UI 8 based on Android 16, and with Samsung’s new policy of seven years of updates, it promises longevity well into the future. This model will receive an additional year of updates compared to other S25 variants.

Overall, the Galaxy S25 FE’s lighter design and brighter display stand out, complemented by a larger battery that we are eager to test. Although the camera hardware remains unchanged, Samsung’s AI enhancements keep the photography experience engaging. The S25 FE emerges as a compelling option for those seeking flagship quality without the flagship price.
