Despite earlier rumors of a potential delay due to last-minute changes, Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch as planned. The South Korean tech giant is set to unveil its new high-end smartphones in late January 2026, with an official release in February. This aligns with Samsung’s traditional launch timeline. The decision to replace the Galaxy S26 Edge with the Galaxy S26+ briefly extended the hardware verification phase, but the issue was swiftly resolved. The Galaxy S26 and S26+ will feature Samsung’s new Exynos 2600 chip, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor globally. The Exynos 2600 is anticipated to deliver performance on par with leading processors like the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, A19 Pro, and Dimensity 9500.
