Is the Galaxy S26 thinner and equipped with Qi2 magnets?

The upcoming Galaxy S26 series is anticipated to introduce enhancements in camera technology, software, and overall performance. Initially, the lineup was expected to include the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. However, Samsung has reportedly opted to release the base, Plus, and Ultra models instead. Recent leaks have unveiled the design of the Galaxy S26.

The Galaxy S26 is rumored to feature a remarkably slim 6.9mm body, which is 0.3mm thinner than its predecessor, the Galaxy S25. The design includes a vertical pill-shaped housing for its triple-camera setup, reminiscent of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Notably, a ring on the back suggests the presence of a built-in magnetic system for Qi2 wireless charging, marking Samsung’s first foray into Qi2 certification with integrated magnets.

The Galaxy S26 is expected to boast a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with an impressive 3,000 nits peak brightness, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and a camera array featuring a 50MP primary lens, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens. Under the hood, the device might be powered by the 2nm Exynos 2600 processor, or the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in certain regions, along with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB. It will operate on Android 16-based One UI 8.5, bringing several new features and user interface updates.
