The iPhone 17 Pro has emerged as the fastest-charging smartphone in recent tests, outperforming 33 other models. Despite its smaller 4,252mAh battery, the iPhone 17 Pro supports 40-watt wired and 25-watt wireless charging, allowing it to charge rapidly. In a 30-minute test, it achieved a 74% charge, just behind Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra, which led the wired category with a 76% increase using 60-watt charging. The iPhone 17 Pro also excelled in wireless charging, reaching 55% in the same duration. Overall, Apple’s devices demonstrated consistent fast-charging capabilities, with an average of 54.6% across its latest models. Meanwhile, Samsung’s lineup averaged 38.5%, highlighted by the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Notably, silicon-carbon batteries, found in the OnePlus 15, enabled rapid charging of larger capacities, but this technology is yet to be adopted by major brands like Apple and Samsung.
