Is the One UI 8.5 update now available for Galaxy S23 FE?

Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S23 FE in Korea, following its release for the main Galaxy S23 models. This update is expected to become available globally soon and will extend to other devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 within the week. The rollout is part of Samsung’s phased approach, initially targeting its 2025 and 2024 flagships, and now reaching the 2023 Galaxy S series. The update, marked by firmware version EZDT in Korea, introduces significant visual and usability enhancements, including a cleaner design, smoother animations, and improved multitasking. Additionally, it upgrades several stock apps and enhances Galaxy AI capabilities, privacy, and system customization. Although some advanced AI features remain exclusive to flagship models, One UI 8.5 provides a modern and feature-rich experience across the Galaxy range. The update is also being extended to mid-range models, with the Galaxy A56 already receiving it. Further updates are anticipated for more devices in the coming weeks.
