Windows 11 is introducing significant improvements to its update system, aiming to alleviate user frustration. The new features will allow users to skip updates during initial setup and extend pause durations indefinitely. Unlike previous versions, Windows 11 will always offer the option to shut down or restart without applying updates. Additionally, users will receive more detailed information about updates, enabling better planning. Updates can be re-paused in 35-day intervals, and users can select specific dates to resume updates. Microsoft is also coordinating various updates to reduce their frequency. These changes, based on extensive user feedback, are being tested among Windows Insiders.
