On October 6, 2026, Samsung began rolling out the stable One UI 9 (Android 17) update in South Korea for the Galaxy S24 FE and the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition (SE). The updates carry firmware versions S721NKSUEEZIF for the S24 FE and F958NKSU4EZIH for the Z Fold SE.
The package also includes the September 2026 security patch level, because both devices did not receive a dedicated September update in Korea previously.
If you own a Galaxy S24 FE or Galaxy Z Fold SE in Korea, check for the update via Settings > Software update > Download and install. If One UI 9 is available, tap Install now; the phone will restart after installation and boot into the updated UI.
One UI 9 rollout schedule and what’s next
The Galaxy Z Fold SE was launched exclusively in Korea and therefore will not receive the One UI 9 update in other markets. For the S24 FE, Samsung could commence a rollout for select US networks later this week, and a wider global rollout could begin early next week if everything goes smoothly.
Samsung may expand One UI 9 to additional devices across October, potentially including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z5 foldables, multiple Galaxy A series models and tablets. One UI 9 is being released in waves by region, carrier and model; One UI 9.5 has not been released to anyone yet.
Community reporting is helping track the rollout: users are reporting what their devices are actually running, which keeps rollout trackers and the guide titled “Will Your Galaxy Phone or Tablet Get the One UI 9 Update?” up to date.
