Plenti raises $3M seed led by Tether to expand into Peru and Bolivia

Colombian fintech Plenti has raised a $3 million seed round led by Tether, with participation from Verda Ventures.

Founded in Medellín, Plenti provides foreign exchange and investment services to both consumers and businesses, and its platform enables international transactions. The company offers annual returns of up to 8% on account balances and allows users to invest with minimum amounts of $6 in U.S. stocks, ETFs and crypto assets.

Plenti will use the funding to strengthen its operations in Colombia and to expand into Peru and Bolivia. The company reports more than 150,000 active users and processes over $3.1 billion in annual transactions across its B2B and B2C businesses.

Plenti’s platform and growth plans

Plenti combines foreign exchange and investment products on a single platform, supporting international transfers while offering yield on balances and low-minimum access to U.S. financial assets. The newly raised capital is earmarked for bolstering local operations and regional expansion into the two neighboring markets named by the company.
