Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and announced a short lineup of accompanying accessories, including a key change: the Pro Keyboard is no longer an Ultra-exclusive and will be offered for every Tab S12 model.
Pro Keyboard expands to all Tab S12 models
The aluminum-clad Pro Keyboard attachment includes a trackpad and a Galaxy AI Key that launches a preferred AI assistant. Samsung positions the accessory as well suited to Samsung DeX users. Pricing details were not revealed, but the Pro Keyboard is expected to be the most expensive accessory; for reference, the Tab S11 Ultra Pro Keyboard previously cost $399.
S Pen and alternative keyboard option
The S Pen is included in every Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra box and is not optional. For users seeking a cheaper keyboard attachment, Samsung is offering the Book Cover Keyboard Slim as an alternative to the Pro Keyboard.
Availability and what’s unknown
The Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra will go on sale in select markets on October 7. Samsung has not provided specific availability or pricing details for the accessories, though there is a high likelihood they will reach the market on the same day. It is also unknown whether the announced list is exhaustive or if additional accessories for the Tab S12 series will follow.
