At the 2025 World AI Conference in Shanghai, a diverse array of AI-powered robots is captivating international visitors with state-of-the-art technologies and innovative concepts. These robots are capable of interacting with humans, performing dances, handling household chores, and even providing massages. Among the highlights is a robotic masseur from Flexiv, a Shanghai-based robotics firm, which evaluates muscle responses during therapy and collects data for standardization. Additionally, Flexiv is showcasing a robot that carves intricate patterns on eggs, with potential applications in various industrial scenarios such as automotive deburring and server assembly testing. According to Mao Chongzhao, vice president of Noematrix, these adaptive robots can perceive and adjust to their surroundings in real time, enhancing their intelligence with increased usage. Already in operation in factories, warehouses, restaurants, and coffee shops across China, the ultimate ambition for these robots is to become household helpers. Li Tong, CEO of Keenon Robotics, envisions a future where robots evolve into household nannies, driven by extensive commercialization and data accumulation. A Morgan Stanley report predicts the global market value of humanoid robots will hit 5 trillion U.S. dollars by 2050, with 10 percent allocated to family use.
