AIKO has unveiled significant advancements in its All Back Contact (ABC) technology, showcasing engineering improvements that have boosted cell efficiency from 27.2% to 27.4%. At the module level, AIKO has managed to expand the active area by reducing non-cell areas and creepage distance by 20%. Despite challenges such as insulation failure and moisture ingress, these issues are mitigated through the use of nanoscale insulating materials, a fully passivated cell structure, copper interconnection, and optimized manufacturing processes.
The company has also increased module bifaciality to 85% by cutting grid lines by 20%, reducing gridline width by 5%, and implementing a zero-gap module design. AIKO’s new Z-Series residential module, ideal for rooftop applications, offers up to 500 W and 25% module efficiency in a compact 54-cell format. It is available in both mono-glass and dual-glass versions, with a module area of less than 2 m².
