Free Mobile is gearing up to launch its first prepaid plans, with an imminent rollout according to recent reports. Although these offerings have not yet been officially announced by the operator, they have been spotted on Free’s website. The plans include “credit libre” top-ups ranging from €5 to €50, with validity periods spanning from 30 to 90 days. The rate is set at €0.05 per minute, SMS, MMS, or MB in France, the French Overseas Departments (DOM), and the EU. The SIM card is priced at €5 upon purchase. Additionally, national Passes with EU/DOM data are available. These Passes, valid for 30 days, feature unlimited calls and SMS within France, along with various data options, reaching up to 350 GB for the XL Pass. International “partner country” Passes are also on offer, providing minutes to specific countries. Free offers notable flexibility with the ability to convert credit into Passes via SMS and an optional auto-renewal feature. Communications are capped beyond €50 of out-of-plan usage, and the offers are 5G compatible. These new plans combine the simplicity of prepaid with generous data allowances, all without commitment, starting at €4.99.
