Apple is set to unveil new products this week, including updates to the iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and possibly the base 14-inch MacBook Pro, all expected to feature the next-generation M5 chip. The announcements are likely to be made via press releases on the Apple Newsroom website, rather than through an event, with potential short promotional videos on YouTube.
The new iPad Pro, already leaked in unboxing videos from Russia, will come with the M5 chip and a minimum of 12GB of RAM. While no major design changes are evident, the inscription “iPad Pro” has been removed from the back. Rumors about dual front cameras remain unconfirmed as the leaked videos did not show this feature. Performance improvements include up to 12% faster multi-core CPU performance and up to 36% faster GPU performance compared to the current model.
The Vision Pro is also expected to receive the M5 chip, although earlier reports suggested an M4 chip. It may include an R2 chip for enhanced input processing, though this is unlikely until next year. The updated model might feature a more comfortable head strap and a new Space Black color option, but it will continue to support Wi-Fi 6. These changes may not be enough to classify it as a second-generation model, as Apple has paused development on a truly next-gen Vision Pro and a lightweight “Vision Air” model.
A base 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip is reportedly ready for launch, preceding higher-end models with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips expected in early 2026. Significant changes are anticipated in future models, including OLED displays, touchscreens, and built-in cellular connectivity.
Other products like the Apple TV, HomePod mini, and AirTag are still in the pipeline, but no timeline has been provided. New entry-level iPad, iPad Air, Studio Display, MacBook Air models, and an iPhone 17e are expected early next year.
