What should you know about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8?

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, anticipated for a July 2026 launch, is set to be a pivotal release for Samsung, especially with Apple rumored to introduce its own foldable device, the iPhone Ultra, later this year. This foldable phone is expected to maintain a design similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, with a sleek profile and enhanced camera setup. The device’s dimensions reportedly remain consistent, with an aluminum frame and an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance. It will likely feature a 6.5-inch LTPO OLED cover display and an 8-inch foldable display, both supporting HDR10+ and high brightness levels, thanks to Samsung’s new crease-free OLED technology.

Camera improvements are anticipated, with a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 10MP telephoto lens, alongside dual 10MP selfie cameras. Video capabilities are expected to include 4K and 8K recording with HDR support. Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, offering up to 16GB of RAM and storage options up to 1TB. Connectivity features will include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0, with a robust 5,000mAh battery supporting fast charging options.

Operating on Android 17 with One UI 9, the phone will integrate advanced AI features, promising up to seven years of updates. Pricing is speculated to start at $1,999.99 for the 256GB model, with pre-orders expected in late July 2026 and sales commencing in early August.
