In a week, Samsung will hold its second Galaxy Unpacked event of the year in New York City, promising the unveiling of new flagship devices. A potential highlight could be Samsung’s first tri-fold smartphone, possibly teased during the event but not fully revealed until later this year. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will likely be the main attractions, offering evolutionary improvements such as thinner designs, larger screens, and upgraded cameras. The Flip 7 will also feature a larger cover display and a more powerful battery, with both models expected to use Exynos chips. Additionally, Samsung is anticipated to introduce a budget-friendly Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE model.
The event will also see the debut of the Galaxy Watch 8 series, including the return of the Classic model with a rotating bezel. While the watches may not offer significant hardware upgrades, new health features and software enhancements are expected. The Galaxy Watch Ultra will receive new color options, but no sequel is planned.
Speculation suggests that Samsung might also announce the rollout of One UI 8 (Android 16) for some devices, coinciding with the event.
