Samsung is set to unveil its latest smartphone lineup on Wednesday, July 9th, at 10AM ET / 7AM PT. The event is expected to feature a range of new foldable devices and enhanced Galaxy AI capabilities. As the tech world increasingly embraces AI, these features are anticipated to be a highlight.
The event will be streamed live on YouTube and Samsung’s newsroom, and pre-orders will be available for those eager to secure the latest gadgets. Samsung is entering its seventh generation of foldable devices, with a potential lineup including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE. There is also speculation about a new double-hinged Galaxy foldable, a first for the company.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7, possibly branded as the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra, is rumored to feature a 6.5-inch exterior screen and an 8-inch interior display. It is expected to be Samsung’s thinnest foldable yet, measuring 4.2mm when unfolded and 8.9mm when folded, offering a slimmer profile compared to its predecessor.
The Z Flip 7 is anticipated to have a revamped design with a 4-inch outer display covering the top panel, excluding the camera and flash areas. The interior display is expected to increase to 6.9 inches. The Z Flip 7 FE marks Samsung’s first budget-friendly clamshell foldable, available in black and white, and shares similarities with the previous Z Fold 6 model.
Additionally, there are hints of a new Galaxy device with dual inward-folding hinges, potentially named the “Multifold7” or Galaxy G Fold. While a release is not expected immediately, Samsung may offer a glimpse of this innovative design at the event.
