With the Samsung Galaxy S25 series already available, the spotlight now shifts to Samsung’s other flagship products. The third Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled for 9 July in New York, focusing on the company’s foldable devices: the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7.
Anticipated updates include hardware enhancements and quality-of-life improvements, along with major new features. The Galaxy Watch 8 is also expected to be unveiled, building on the incremental improvements seen in the Watch 7 series.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are expected to integrate artificial intelligence features like Google-powered Gemini Live. Physical changes suggest a more compact design, with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 featuring larger displays and inheriting a 200-megapixel main camera from the S25 series. It will also have a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and the series’ thinnest design yet. The Z Flip 7 is rumored to include a larger cover screen, a 4,300mAh battery, and an Exynos 2500 chip.
On the smartwatch front, the Galaxy Watch 8 may introduce a squarish design and a microLED display, moving away from traditional OLED screens. Blood glucose monitoring is also a potential new feature.
There may be variations of these devices, such as an entry-level Z Flip 7 and a higher-end Z Fold 7 Ultra model. A triple-fold concept might also be introduced, although its availability could be limited. The Galaxy Watch 8 might also come in a Classic version with a 47mm face, rotating bezel, and a 435 mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will be live on 9 July.
