Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event is set for Wednesday, July 9, in Brooklyn, New York, and will be broadcast live on Samsung’s website and YouTube at 14:00 UTC. This mid-year event will spotlight the latest in foldable phones and smartwatches, introducing the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, Z Flip7 FE, and the Galaxy Watch8 series including the Watch8, Watch8 Classic, and Watch8 Ultra.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 promises a refined experience with a 200MP main camera and a focus on a slimmer design, making it the thinnest and lightest horizontal foldable to date. It retains a 4,400mAh battery and features the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, with options for 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage. The Z Fold7 will be available in Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, and Jet Black.
The Z Flip7, alongside a more affordable Z Flip7 FE, boasts improvements like a larger 4.1” cover display and a 4,300mAh battery. The premium model will feature the Exynos 2500 processor, while the FE will use the Exynos 2400. The Z Flip7 will come in Jet Black, Blue Shadow, and Coral Red.
Samsung is also expected to unveil a tri-fold smartphone, though it may be limited to Korea and China. The new Galaxy Watch8 series will adopt a “squircle” design, with the Watch8 Ultra featuring a rotating bezel and crown. All models will run on the Exynos W1000 chipset and introduce One UI 8 Watch, emphasizing health features.
Pre-orders for the new devices begin on July 9, with open sales starting on July 25. Samsung is already offering early reservation incentives in the US. Stay tuned for full coverage of the event.
