As the release of Lost Soul Aside approaches this August, a new trailer has been unveiled showcasing the game’s diverse weapon options. Players can choose from a swift sword, a powerful greatsword, a piercing poleblade, and a versatile scythe. Notably, the game allows seamless weapon swapping during combat, enabling dynamic combo attacks.
Each weapon boasts unique stats, influencing tactical gameplay. Players can enhance and customize their arsenal using special fragments found throughout the game, which can modify weapon appearances and improve combat or healing abilities. These fragments allow for experimental combinations, leading to exciting effects.
Lost Soul Aside draws inspiration from titles like Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, blending action with role-playing elements. Protagonist Kaser can unlock new skills and abilities via a Skill Tree, aided by the dragon-like creature Arena. Players can execute precise, high-impact attacks by timing button presses during combos, and fill the Fusion Gauge to summon Arena’s claws for powerful strikes. This skill evolves as Kaser advances in his mission.
Developed over more than a decade, the game began as a solo project by Yang Bing and is set to launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on August 29. System requirements for PC are detailed in the article.
