Apple has unveiled the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, showcasing a fresh aluminum unibody design. Both front and back are now protected by Ceramic Shield, with the front featuring the enhanced Ceramic Shield 2 for improved scratch resistance, and the back offering greater crack resistance. The iPhone 17 Pro sports a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max boasts a 6.9-inch screen, both delivering impressive outdoor brightness and contrast.
The devices feature a larger camera module with three 48-megapixel Fusion cameras, and an upgraded Telephoto camera that provides up to 8x optical zoom. The front camera is now 18 megapixels and supports Center Stage.
Powered by the A19 Pro chip, these models promise faster performance, improved thermal management, and advanced connectivity with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. They come with new color options including Silver, Deep Blue, and Cosmic Orange, and are eSIM-only in several regions, allowing for a larger battery and longer battery life, with the Pro Max offering up to 39 hours of video playback.
In the U.S., pricing starts at $1,099 for the iPhone 17 Pro and $1,199 for the Pro Max, both with 256GB of storage. Pre-orders begin on September 12, with availability from September 19.
