Samsung has announced that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will occur on July 9, 2025, at 10 PM Malaysia time, broadcast live from Brooklyn, New York. The event will highlight “the next evolution of Galaxy AI” and new elements within Samsung’s expanding ecosystem. It will be available for streaming on Samsung’s official Newsroom, website, and YouTube channel.
Following tradition, the summer Unpacked event will spotlight the company’s new generation of foldable devices. Samsung is set to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, alongside the latest Galaxy Watch series. Leaks indicate both foldables will have a slimmer design, with the Flip7 boasting a larger external display. The Galaxy Watch8 is anticipated to maintain a round display despite a more angular design.
There is ongoing speculation about the chipsets for these foldables. The newly launched Exynos 2500 is rumored to power the Z Flip7, replacing the expected Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, now called Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Elite. These devices are likely to debut with One UI 8, based on Android 16.
In addition to the flagship foldables, Samsung may have more surprises in store. There is chatter about an Ultra version of the Fold7, a FE variant of the Flip7, and possibly a preview of the Galaxy S25 FE before its official release later this year. Furthermore, there is anticipation around Samsung possibly unveiling its tri-fold smartphone prototype and sharing updates on its Android XR headset, developed with Google and set for release this year.
In line with the event, Samsung Malaysia is offering early sign-up benefits. Until July 9 at 9:59 PM, users can register to receive a RM50 voucher for pre-orders of any new Galaxy devices revealed during Unpacked. Those who register will also be eligible to purchase the Samsung Reservation+ voucher for RM10, which provides a RM210 voucher code for use during the promotional period.
