Samsung is gearing up to reveal its latest foldable smartphones, including three new models: the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, marking the first Fan Edition of a foldable Samsung phone. In a significant shift, Samsung will equip its foldable phones with Exynos chips in the US, a market traditionally dominated by Snapdragon-powered Galaxy devices. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will feature the new Exynos 2500 chipset, while the Flip 7 FE will utilize the Exynos 2400, the same chip that powered the Galaxy S24 FE globally. The Exynos 2400 is praised for its performance and efficiency, comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, making the FE model a cost-effective option. Meanwhile, early tests of the Exynos 2500 show promise, although its efficiency and thermal management will be fully assessed upon the Flip 7’s release. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 stands out as the only model to incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Samsung will unveil these devices at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, alongside the new Galaxy Watch 8 series. Customers can pre-order these products on Samsung’s website, offering benefits such as Samsung credit and savings opportunities.
