Samsung has unexpectedly paused its One UI 8 update for millions of Galaxy S23 and S24 smartphones, part of its Android 16 upgrade program. Initially launched with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in late July, the rollout has faced delays. Although no major bugs have been reported, Samsung has identified an issue that requires attention. Currently, the latest version available on Samsung’s servers is based on Android 15. The company had started releasing beta versions to older models before committing to final versions in mid-September. One UI 8 introduces advanced AI features, a user experience optimized for various device formats, and personalized suggestions to enhance daily convenience. However, significant enhancements are anticipated in the forthcoming One UI 8.5 update, expected in early 2026.
