Samsung has announced an unexpected shift in its release schedule, bringing forward the launch of the Galaxy S25 FE to between August and September. This move deviates from the usual autumn release of the Fan Edition series and is part of Samsung’s strategy to capitalize on the momentum of the S25 series before unveiling its ambitious lineup for the latter half of 2025. This includes the much-anticipated tri-fold smartphone and the Project Moohan XR headset, both set to redefine mobile technology and provide serious competition to Apple and Meta.
In addition to these innovations, Samsung plans to refresh its mid-range lineup with new Galaxy A models, including the Galaxy A17, targeting emerging markets where affordable, high-performance devices are crucial. The Galaxy Tab S11 is also on the horizon, promising enhanced screen quality and battery life, along with improved S Pen support.
The Galaxy S25 FE itself boasts significant design upgrades, featuring slimmer bezels and a more premium finish compared to its predecessor, the S24 FE. It includes a 12 MP front camera and adopts the 45W fast charging technology from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, offering a 6.7-inch display and enhanced selfie capabilities. However, the device retains its 8GB RAM without hardware upgrades, justifying its price increase through design and charging enhancements.
New color options, including a sleek white variant, complement the nearly borderless front design, a triple rear camera setup, and a 4,700 mAh battery promising all-day battery life. These developments align with Samsung’s strong second-quarter performance in 2025, setting the stage for a transformative year in tech innovation with upcoming releases like the tri-fold phone and XR headset.
