In a major update, iOS 27 will introduce a new way for notifications to appear, sliding in from the left side of the screen. Accessing Notification Center will also change, requiring a swipe down on the top-left corner. Swiping down on the Dynamic Island area will bring up a new “Search or Ask” interface linked to Siri, which may only be available on iPhone 15 Pro models and newer, depending on hardware requirements. Apple plans to unveil iOS 27 at the WWDC 2026 keynote, with a developer beta launching the same day and a public beta expected in July. The full release is anticipated in September.
