Apple is set to redesign Siri for iOS 27, incorporating new artificial intelligence features and chatbot capabilities. Siri will have its own dedicated app, integrate with the iPhone’s Dynamic Island, and sport a new dark color scheme. The design, inspired by Apple’s WWDC promotional graphics, will feature dark tones with highlights in pink, dark blue, purple, and orange. The interface will not offer a light mode initially, and new UI elements will include a dark background with a blinking cursor in these colors. A new app will facilitate ongoing chatbot-style conversations, resembling existing chat apps but with a Messages-style look. Activating Siri will reveal a pill-shaped animation in the Dynamic Island and a glowing “searching” label during query responses. Results will appear in a translucent panel, which can be pulled down to start a conversation. A system-wide search interface can be accessed by swiping down from the top center of the display. Apple will overhaul Siri to enhance its capabilities, using Google’s Gemini models to power the assistant after its own AI models fell short. With this upgrade, Siri is expected to match many of Google’s AI features. iOS 27 will be unveiled during the WWDC 2026 keynote on June 8.
