Will the Galaxy A37 finally deliver a performance boost with Exynos in 2026?

The Galaxy A3x series has experienced a unique trajectory in recent years, particularly concerning Samsung’s choice of chipsets. Despite various upgrades, the series hasn’t seen a significant performance leap since the Galaxy A34. However, there is hope that 2026 might bring a change.

The Galaxy A34, A35, and A36 models were equipped with Dimensity 1080, Exynos 1380, and Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chips, respectively, making it challenging to predict the chipset for the upcoming Galaxy A37. Yet, if Samsung aligns with expectations, the Galaxy A37 could mark the first notable performance upgrade for Galaxy A34 users, who have been eagerly awaiting a power boost.

The Exynos 1580 chip, which currently enhances the Galaxy A56, could potentially be the key to this upgrade. While it may not rival flagship models in demanding applications, the Exynos 1580 significantly enhances the One UI experience, bringing it closer to that of more premium models.

If Samsung incorporates this chip into the Galaxy A37, it would represent a major upgrade for Galaxy A34 users. The previous three generations have shown similar performance levels, but the Exynos 1580 could offer a noticeable improvement.

However, Samsung might opt for a different strategy, possibly choosing another brand of chips or the less powerful Exynos 1480 for the Galaxy A37. Regardless, there’s a strong desire for Samsung to revitalize the A3x series, which has seen lackluster sequels in recent years.

With the A57 rumored to feature a new Exynos 1680 chip, it would be advantageous for the A37 to benefit from the Exynos 1580. This would be particularly beneficial for Galaxy A34 users who have delayed upgrading, as well as for those with older models.

For those anticipating a genuine performance upgrade, there’s hope that Samsung will meet expectations. Stay tuned for updates on the Galaxy A37 as more information becomes available.
