Will the Galaxy S26 Pro’s Camera Upgrades Justify Its “Pro” Name?

As the launch of the Galaxy S26 series approaches, speculation and leaks have provided insights into the potential features of the three models, with a particular focus on the camera capabilities of the Galaxy S26 Pro. The base model, named “Pro,” is expected to feature significant camera enhancements, including an upgraded 50MP primary sensor with a size increase from 1/1.56 inches to 1/1.3 inches, alongside a 50MP ultrawide lens.

There is also talk of improvements to the 3x sensor, though details remain scarce. This has led to two possibilities: either the S26 Pro will incorporate the S25 Ultra’s 3x camera, or both the S26 Pro and S26 Ultra will share the same updated sensor. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Edge is set to maintain its 200MP main sensor and add a 50MP ultrawide lens. The specifications for the Galaxy S26 Ultra are still uncertain, but clarity is expected soon.

In the past, information about the Exynos 2600’s Geekbench scores and the naming of previous Galaxy models has proven accurate, adding weight to the current expectations. Finalized specifications for the Galaxy S26 series are anticipated to be revealed in October.
