Are US Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 users receiving their first update after One UI 8?

In early October, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 were updated to One UI 8, based on Android 16, across the globe. Now, less than a month later, Samsung is rolling out a new software update for these foldable devices, focusing on the latest security enhancements. Initially released in Korea on October 27, the update has since reached Europe and other regions. It is currently being expanded to both carrier-locked and unlocked versions of the Fold 5 and Flip 5 in the United States. Users can check for the update’s availability by navigating to Settings > Software update and selecting Download and install.
